In The Fall of 2013 a Good Friend suggested that a Group of us sign up & take part in an upcoming Boot Camp class…we all agreed that though a Good idea, there were still some apprehensions & expected reservations… None of us Knew anything about the instructor or what would be expected but we circled the wagons & forged ahead…On a personal note, I was in the midst of some fitness/weight/measurement struggles pertaining to my Military Reserve Fitness obligations…I figured the class could help me, but still there was a smidgen of apprehension & Self Doubt… but the trainer Steve Dorner made the short journey to a better life of Fitness an attainable reality…Steve’s Enthusiasm, Care, & Genuine Concern for Health & Fitness came Shining through in just the 1st Few Weeks…Some people are into things because it’s what they do…, but with Steve it’s because it’s a part of who he is…! Hi my name is Julie and I have struggled with my weight and health for many years. I have severe lung damage from a chemical exposure and live with taking steroids every day of my life. I have NEVER been a person to enjoy regular exercise, but let me tell you Steve Dorner made me change my mind about it. I started working out with him during an all women’s boot camp in 2013 and actually started looking forward to going every evening. I was able to get down 3 pants sizes during my first 2 cycles of camp and my use of an inhaler went down some. Unfortunately, I had a relapse in my health during a boot camp break and was not able to return full force after that. The one thing about Steve that made it so simple to get to a point where I loved exercise was his motivation skills. He never made me feel like I wasn’t giving my all and always boosted me up. For the first time in a long time I felt empowered to be the better me I deserve to be and to put my health and wellbeing first. I started the journey with him initially to get him to help me motivate my teenage daughter but never knew I would be motivated as well.

I began dieting and biking after two years of feeling awful about how I looked and wouldn’t dare post pictures of myself on Facebook. In the fall when I had basically plateaued at 35 lbs. a friend took me to bring a friend night at boot camp. I was terrified of not knowing what to expect and that I would never be able to keep up. Thanks to the motivation of Steve and the other girls, I felt very comfortable and even had fun! Now I am headed into my 4th session of boot camp and still love it! I enjoy the variety and being outside. No piece of monotonous equipment and clock watching. Everyone is so motivating and friendly. Steve is amazing and easy to talk to. Since beginning bootcamp I have lost 15 additional pounds, have developed more muscle tone and can even run a mile which I could NEVER do before. All I had to give up was a lot of tv watching…big deal and I feel great after every workout. Thanks Steve for giving me and so many other the confidence I have today and most importantly my health back not just for me but my two beautiful children!
